    Porsche revealed its concept electric car Mission E at Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung (IAA) in Frankfurt in 2015.  

  • 2 Concept car acclerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds

    Porsche Mission E has an all-wheel drive, all-wheel steering, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and has a charging time of 15 minutes to reach an 80% charge of electrical energy. It is Porcshe's first 800-volt drive system. 

  • 3 It has multiple recharge systems

    The car can be recharged by using special conductive tiles the driver simply drives over. It can also be recharged with a charging port for the 'Porsche Turbo Charging' system.


  • 4 It uses eye-tracking and gesture control technology

  • 5 2 'permanent magnet' synchronous motors power the car

    2 'permanent magnet' synchronous motors (PMSM) power the car and recover braking energy. Together the motors produce over 600 hp. The motors are similar to those used in Porsche's 919 hybrid. 

  • 6 The car's body is made of 3 different materials

    The car's body is made up of a functional mix of aluminium, steel and carbon fibre reinforced polymer.


  • 7 One battery charge lasts for 500 km

    Mission E can travel around 500 km on one battery charge. It can be charged for around 400 km driving range in only 15 minutes.

  • 8 Front and back wheels have different measurements

    Mission E has 21-inch carbon wheels in front and 22-inch carbon wheels in the rear. 


  • 9 4-point LED lights and a continuous rear stripe

    Mission E has 4-point LED front lights, giving it a futuristic look. The rear light is one continuous red stripe.

  • 10 It has cameras instead of door mirrors

    Mission E has cameras instead of door mirrors. They contribute to the car's aerodynamics and its futuristic look.

  • 11 Porsche's answer to Tesla

    Mission E will compete directly with Tesla's electric cars, Model S exactly.
