  • 1 1832

    In 1832, Logan/Wolverine was born. He survived the civil war with his half-brother, Victor Creed 'Sabertooth'. They also participate in World War I and World War II.

  • 2 1945

    Wolverine manages to save a Japanese officer, Ichiro Yashida, from the nuclear blast in Nagasaki.

    The Wolverine (2013)

  • 3 1962

    The first time Professor X and Magneto meet up with the Wolverine was in 1962. He is seen drinking and smoking and he tells them off when they try to recruit him.

    X-Men: First Class (2011)

  • 4 1970

    Wolverine meets William Stryker. Stryker recruits Wolverine along other mutants in a group called Team X.

  • 5 1979

    Wolverine works as a lumberjack in Canada. However, William Stryker tricks Wolverine into signing up for the Weapon X program where he gets the Adamentium skeleton and claws. He also loses his wife and gets shot with an Adamentium bullet in the head to lose memory.

  • 6 1979-2003

    Between 1979 and 2003, Wolverine was a cage fighter. He has no memory. After saving the world from Magneto, Professor X sends him to Alkali lake to find answers about who he is.

  • 7 2003

    Wolverine and the X-Men save Professor X from Stryker. Jean Gray sacrifices herself to save the rest of the X-Men.

    X2 (2003)

  • 8 2006

    Wolverine is a substitute teacher for the X-Men school. He's some sort of a cool big brother to everyone. Jean Gray shows up as the Phoenix and kills Professor X and Cyclops. Wolverine kills her because he's the only one who could because of his healing factor.

    X-Men: The Last Stand (2006)

  • 9 2013

    Wolverine is homeless; living in caves in Canada. He is tracked by Yashida who is a dying wealthy businessman who seeks to have Wolverine's healing power. His healing power was taken away.

  • 10 2023

    The mutants are being killed off. Wolverine's consciousness is sent back to his body in 1973. This marks the beginning of the Alternative Timeline.

    X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014)

  • 11 1973 Alternative Timeline

    Wolverine was sent to prevent Mystique from assassinating Trask. This removes the events from 1973 to 2023 from everybody's memory except for Wolverine (possibly Professor X as well). Wolverine is captured at the end by Stryker who reveals himself as Mystique.

    X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014)

  • 12 1983 Alternative Timeline

    Wolverine is seen by Jean Gray and Cyclops as teenagers. They release him from capture by Stryker and he attacks the soldiers. He seems like more of an animal than a human due to the torture.

    X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)

  • 13 2023 Alternative Timeline

    Wolverine wakes up to find out that Cyclops, Jean Gray and Professor X are all alive and everything is going well for the mutants. Only he remembers the original timeline (possibly Professor X, too).

    X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014)

  • 14 2029 Alternative Timeline

    All mutants are dead in 2029. Mutants haven't been born in 20 years. However, there is talk about Wolverine being a cage fighter and the events at the Statue of Liberty. He, Professor X and Caliban are the only survivors.

    Logan (2017)

  • 15 2029 Alternative Timeline

    Professor X is barely surviving after having seizures. It's implicated that he killed the mutants. He dies. Caliban dies. Wolverine dies at the hands of X24 after saving Laura's (X23) life and a group of mutant children who have been the products of experiments using mutants DNA.

    Logan (2017)

  • 16 Wolverine 1832-2029

    Wolverine is physically 191 in 2023 original timeline.

    He moves all the way back to 1973 to relives the events which makes him 247 years old. His healing factor is poisoned by the Adamentium in his body by the events of Logan in 2029.
